Idlewild Animal Sanctuary was set up in 2015 as a registered charity to provide care to wild, exotic, domestic and farm animals and birds, rescuing, rehabilitating, releasing and rehoming, and providing a safe haven for those needing lifelong care. We also provide a therapeutic and educational resource working with people to educate and promote health and wellbeing, and currently have over 50 volunteers, many of whom are neuro divergent.
The Lease on our current premises expires in June 2026 and sadly our landlord is unable to renew or extend. We therefore need to find alternative premises. We need around 12 acres with appropriate buildings, or space to create them – and estimate this will cost around £600,000.
Idlewild Animal Sanctuary (Property) Limited has been set up as a vehicle to raise this money.
We are offering shares in the new property to individuals and businesses at £50 per share with a view to raising the funds. Should we be unsuccessful in raising the money, then the shareholders will either have the option of treating the share value as a donation to Idlewild, or selling all, or some, back to the Company at the price paid. The donations will then go towards funding the sensitive relocation and rehoming of what will then be homeless animals.
Non share related donations are obviously greatly appreciated and for this please visit the Idlewild Animal Sanctuary website and donate via the GoFundMe link
